Hey! Everyone here I am with a perfect travel guide for Humayun’s tomb,Delhi, as many of you have been to there but I feel sharing my story and experience of going there with my college friends, we just planned to see the Humayun’s tomb, but before sharing my story to you, I would like to tell you few things about the place.

Humayun’s tomb was made by Hameeda Banu Begum the wife of Humayun, he was the second ruler from the Mughal emperor after Babur. “HUMAYUN NAMA” an autobiography of Humayun was written by his sister Gulbadan Begum, the monuments are made of red sand stones and is recognised by the UNSECO in 1993 as world heritage, and the place is located at Nizamuddin east, Delhi, India.

This was the short info on Humayun’s tomb which I believe everyone should know before going there.

Our journey to Humayun’s tomb.

Now coming on the story, so it begins from the New Delhi station we took metro the from New Delhi and came to central secretariat via yellow line and then changed the metro for violet line and departed at the khan market, from there it is hardly 4 to 5 minutes away many auto walas and e-rickshaws are there who can drop you to Humayun’s tomb but be aware and do negotiate with the charge as they can tell you high prices sometimes but actually it costs around 40 rupees.

After reaching there you will encounter with long queue and crowd as we went on Sunday but nothing to worry you can plan too, weekends are generally seems to be crowded as many people plans on week days but if you are digitally aware and knows how to book tickets online it would be easy for you to skip the long queue and buy online tickets which costs around INR 35 for Indian tourists above the age of 15 years and unfortunately we were above 15 so we had to buy the tickets ,we too bought the tickets through online mode , many scanners are placed there ,which you have to just scan the code and a  site will open and then you can fill your details and pay through any mode , UPI or internet banking mode .For international visitors the Humayun’s tomb ticket price is about 550 rupees.  Haha they looted us now it’s the repay time. Once you enter you will have to go through three big doors and finally the main monument of Humayun’s tomb, once you see the monument you will feel that the tomb is very similar to Agra’s Taj Mahal the difference is of the marbles, Humayun’s tomb is made of red sand stones and Taj Mahal is made of white marbles. The place is full of green surroundings, and if you love greenery it will give you an extreme peace of mind, u can sit anywhere and just relax looking at the astonishing architecture of the monuments.

It took around 3 hours to roam each and every corner of the place as we were doing lot of masti and fun.

Timings and nearest metro station to Humayun’s tomb.

The Humayun’s tomb is open on all days from 6 am in the morning to 6pm in the evening and the nearest metro station is Nizamudin but you can reach there by different routes if you are aware of the place or else follow our route if you are travelling from New Delhi that will help you reach there.

While going on a trip one thing is always in mind, where will you get affordable food? Well! Here’s the solution you can find many small hotels and restaurants even the small canteens where you can have whatever you want to eat, but one of my friend is a great cook, so she brought puri-sabji with her and we just sat at the back side of the tomb in the garden forming a circle, as if we are school students and are on a picnic and as soon as she opened her lunch box everything just got finished within a second, do not laugh* everybody does that.

We actually had a great fun and would love to share my photography skills to you guys do have a look and give your valuable comments on that.
